A Brief Little Email About Hawaii

Hannah's note: This was an email written by Olly to his Nan and Granddad, and it was so lovely I had to post it. Admittedly, I should have done it weeks ago, when he first wrote it, but we've been busy every day! Fred and Sheila, I hope you don't mind me stealing the email and posting it here, but you'll be pleased to know we named the car we bought today Sheila after you!

Hi Nan and Grandad, sorry it’s been a little longer than expected! We’ve had quite the busy first few weeks.

We had a wonderful time in Phoenix and Vegas. You’ll be pleased to know I only lost $100 dollars! Hannah really enjoyed seeing her family and all her friends! I enjoyed the beers by my own private pool for a week!

Hawaii was amazing! We ended up doing a hike up a mountain and the views were incredible! 

Oh and the beach wasn’t too bad either!

We then had our first experience of a hostel in Sydney. Which was surprisingly better than I anticipated! We ended up walking the best part of two marathons in 4 days. But we got to see an awful lot of Sydney!

And of course, we had to stop for probably the most expensive cocktail and lager of our lives! But the view was so worth it!

I also happened to stumble across this little gem! I was very grateful to say the least! 

We’ve now ended up in Darwin, and we’re staying with Rich, my old boss for a little while so we can sort the important things out. It is however 37 degrees today! (95F) Which I must say is a shade warm to say the least!

I hope you’re both well, and I miss you both! I hope your boiler is keeping you nice and warm!
